The Lafreniere Suite is a three bedroom/ three bath apartment off the corner of Frenchmen & Decatur Streets, located on the second floor of the historic LaCroix Estate. Not long after the Faubourg Marigny was established as New Orleans' first Creole suburb, Julian and Francois LaCroix started their grocery in this cornerstone building of the neighborhood in 1838. As freepeople of color, the brothers prospered as Frenchmen Street became a bustling retail outlet, nicknamed "Little Canal Street". The LaCroixs went on to become the biggest developers in Faubourg Marigny before the American Civil War. Their property displays wonderful New Orleans architecture with high ceilings, hardwood floors, marble mantles and huge balconies, giving guests the sensation of living in a landmark.

Lafreniere guests have private telephone, central air/heat, cable television and off street parking. The unit exclusively offers both a lovely sunroom overlooking a secluded rear courtyard and a huge front balcony overlooking New Orleans newest entertainment district. A full kitchen is included with dining area in spacious living room. The kitchen is stocked with everything needed to make meals whenever not visiting the plethora of acclaimed restaurants just steps away. The master bedroom has a king size bed, TV w/cable and the bathroom has a tub/shower combination. The second bedroom has a queen size iron bed, French doors leading out to the balcony and this bathroom also has a tub/shower combination. The sunroom/ office/ third bedroom has two single beds and the bathroom is equipped with a shower and laundry facilities.
